We wanted to do something special for She Runs – A weekend of adventure in the heart of the beautfiul Black Mountains

Join us for a weekend of adventure workshops, guest speakers and of course trail running. This isn’t a race. This is a She Runs experience!

Please note, this particular weekend experience is only for the She Runs community. We want you to have a great time with your friends in a safe, supportive and crazy inspirational environment. You will take from it, whatever you put in and Pegasus will be there every step of the way. From first timers to seasoned veterans of Pegasus events – this experience is perfect for anyone looking for great training, new trails, invaluable workshops and overall opportunities to do something different. We’d love for you to join in!

Where will it take place? The Black Mountains – a place of myth, legend and beautiful running

This range of mountains are truly awesome and the routes we have planned will showcase some of the best views in the entire of the UK, let alone Wales. It’s where we live, it’s where we play, this is our back yard and we are going to show it to you over the course of a weekend. Highlights will include – Sugar Loaf Mountain, Dragons Back, Table Mountain, Grwyne Fawr, Mynydd Du Forest and a sprinkling of local view points that will live long in the memory.

Points of interest – Our Runs, Workshops and Guest Speakers

Wild ponies roam the hills, livestock graze the land and a dragon lays sleeping beneath your feet – ladies we give you the Black Mountains of the Bannau Brycheiniog. The runs and hikes we have planned will give you excellent insight into mountain running and hiking (remember nobody runs the uphill). Our workshops will be head up by two absolutely awesome leaders in the sport of trail running and our guest speakers are two of the most inspirational (and sometimes humble) people you will ever come across.

17:00 to 18:30 – Runner check in – Pegasus HQ Crickhowell

18:30 to 19:00 – She Runs Experience Kick Off

19:00 to 20:30 – Weekend overview, Pizza Served and First Guest Speaker

20:30 to 20:40 – Get shoes on and get ready for a guided sunset hike with our Guest Speaker

20:40 to 22:00 – Night time hike from bunkhouse for sunset on Table Mountain, – 2 miles, 500ft elevation gain

SATURDAY;

06:30 to 08:00 – Breakfast Served

08:00 to 09:20 – First Trail Running Workshop

09:20 to 09:30 – Get shoes on, pick up your bags and head out on the trails

09:30 to 14:30 – Guided trail run, 8 miles, 1,500ft elevation gain

12:30 to 15:30 – Lunch served at Pegasus HQ in Crickhowell

15:30 to 17:00 – Second Trail Running Workshop

17:00 to 19:00 – Social time & drinks served

19:00 to 21:30 – Dinner served & Second Guest Speaker

Who is this experience for?

This experience for the She Runs Community. If you have a love for trail running, learning new skills and spending time with inspiring people then this experience is for you. It is great training for events you may have on the horizon. It is an excellent opportunity to work on your navigation skills. It is also a fantastic time for getting to know your fellow She Runners. Get out what you put in and we promise you a fun, friendly and all inclusive weekend of adventure in the beautiful Black Mountains.

What is the cost for the weekend experience and what is included?

Full weekend passes are available for £230.00 per person and we are limited to 35 tickets for the weekend passes. Included in your entry fee will be THREE guided trail runs / hikes, TWO guest speakers doing inspirational talks, TWO adventure workshops on trail running skills, TWO nights of accommodation at our beautiful bunkhouse, breakfast (Saturday & Sunday), dinner (Friday & Saturday), lunch (Saturday) – all dietary requirements can be catered for, expert guides, She Runs Experience tech tshirt, professional photographer, experienced, dedicated and bloody awesome crew members plus race organisers who have been working in the industry since 2012.

Day passes for the Saturday are available for £80.00 per person and we are limited to 35 tickets for the day passes. Included in your entry fee will be ONE guided trail run / hikes, ONE guest speaker, TWO adventure workshops on trail running skills, breakfast (Saturday), dinner (Saturday), lunch (Saturday), expert guides, She Runs, professional photographer, experienced, dedicated and bloody awesome crew members plus race organisers who have been working in the industry since 2012.

When registering your interest in the She Runs Experience you just need to purchase a weekend or day pass.

What to expect once you sign up –

A friendly ‘welcome to the party’ (experience) email will be sent to the email address you registered with.

The next time you will hear from us (directly) will be in the form of an email 8 weeks before the experience, then another email 4 weeks before the experience and a final email 2 weeks before the experience.

Alas that isn’t the last communication – please keep an eye on your mobile for a phone call from our Race Director a couple of days before the experience is due to take place – don’t worry you haven’t done anything wrong, it’s a peace of mind call to make sure you are ready for the big weekend!
