ABERGAVENNY

Abergavenny is a place where market-town charm meets mountain trails. From its historic streets and castle to the slopes of the Sugar Loaf and the Blorenge, there’s plenty to explore from this welcoming Welsh town. Expect winding woodland paths, open hillsides and climbs that reward your efforts with cracking views — with plenty of excuses to stop, catch your breath and take it all in.

Point of interest – SUGAR LOAF MOUNTAIN

The PIGUM brings the best bits of the original to the trails around Abergavenny, with the Sugar Loaf providing a rather handsome backdrop. Despite the name, it’s neither sugary nor particularly loaf-shaped — but it does know how to make a good view. Expect cracking trails, plenty of character and the occasional pause for “a photo”. We’ve all done it.

Whether you’re new to the trails or have plenty of miles in your legs, come along for a challenge, good company and a proper day out in the hills. We’d love to see you on the start line at the PIGUM.
