LEARN ABOUT OUR GUEST RACE DIRECTORS

Allie Bailey (EDDUM 2024)

Allie finished over 200 marathons and ultra marathons all around the world. But the most remarkable thing is that she accomplished all of this while battling depression and alcoholism. Now a coach and highly engaging speaker, with a disarming level of honesty, she has helped to destigmatise the discussion around mental health and alcoholism. In 2021 she was named as one of the most inspiring female adventurers in the UK by The Guardian and in 2022 she was nominated for Outdoor Personality of the Year in The Great Outdoors awards.

ANNA TROUP & LIZZIE FAITHFULL-DAVIES (EDDUM 2026)

Anna’s outright win at Summer Spine and Lizzie’s extraordinary 300km victory at Northern Traverse aren’t just incredible results, they’re proof of what’s possible when women push the limits of endurance sport. Both of them have built up to these distances step by step, learning to work cleverly with their bodies and minds rather than against them, and that’s a huge part of what makes them so brilliant to watch and learn from.

GRUBY BARRETT (RIDUM 2024)

Gruby is a leading light in She Runs Cardiff. Shortlisted for Run Wales Leader of the Year 2024, she quietly and with genuine kindness inspires, motivates and supports the group and individuals consistently. Welcoming of all abilities, she understands how and when to help, and her advice is always pure gold. Gruby is shining example that grassroots running is thriving. Usually found behind the scenes, Pegasus Ultra Running was pleased as punch that Gruby agreed to take the spotlight at RIDUM.

HANNAH PHILLIPS (CANUM 2024)

In the decade since she first went for a run wearing a balaclava to avoid being recognised, Hannah has becoming a best selling author, run a marathon and worked with Welsh Athletics. She’s now a poet, podcaster, therapist, prominent women’s advocate, and whatever other hat she can fit on her ADHD head! Hannah is on a one-woman mission to make us able to meet our emotional needs, regulate our emotions and generally feel better one day at a time.

MIMI ANDERSON (PIGUM 2024)

Before long she toed the line at the Beyond the Ultimate Global Race Series – Ice, Jungle, Mountain and Desert. With hard work and determination Mimi has shown that it’s never too late to fulfil your dreams and achieve the impossible.

IOANA BARBU (RIDUM 2026)

Ioana Barbu is driven by curiosity, challenge, and the beauty of long distances. On the trail, Ioana is known for her resilience and determination. Off the trail, she is known for her warmth, humour, and the deep connections she builds with the people around her. Running for Ioana is more than competition. It is freedom, exploration, and a constant reminder that limits are often only temporary.

JessICA Dicks & Lizzie Renn (HAYUM 2027)

Jess & Lizzie first crossed paths when they signed up to For Rangers Ultra, a 230km five-stage self-sufficient ultramarathon across wildlife conservancies in Kenya. They cooked up a recipe for success – surround yourself with people who lift you up. Their merry band of chums cheer each other on, whether running together in one of the toughest foot races in the world, Jungle Ultra in Peru, or watching a tracker dot from the other side of a planet. The power of friendship is apparent and it’s infectious.

LOWRI MORGAN (HOWUM 2026)

Athlete, adventurer, BAFTA-winning TV presenter and mother, Lowri is one of only a handful of people to complete the gruelling 350-mile 6633 Ultra Marathon in the Arctic. In 2016, as part of Wales’ Year of Adventure, she became the first person to run from North to South Wales via the country’s highest peaks in just 60 hours, completing the 150-mile “333 Challenge” and setting the Fastest Known Time.

NICOLA FORWOOD (VOGUM 2024)

Nicola loves running and being outside. From parkrun to 100-milers, she loves it all!
